On assignment: Retail Interior Photography – Ted Baker Store in Carrefour Laval – Montreal

There is nothing like getting a new opportunity to work with a client you’ve worked before. That’s why when Ted Baker contacted me to photograph their brand new store at Carrefour Laval near Montreal, I was happy to oblige, as I really enjoyed the experience of being commissioned to photograph their Ottawa store last year.

The particular challenge for this shoot was that I only had 60-90min for the photoshoot and that the 15 best images had to be delivered before noon on the same day. As I have a rule of always arriving early on shoot, I was able to scout the store and prepare the shots I would take later.

As in most architectural and interior photoshoots, I always start by capturing “big picture” views of the locations I am shooting, most of the time using my 24mm Tilt Shift lens.

Then, I usually switch to my standard zoom lens to add a few more “architectural details” photos (with the camera on a tripod). This time was a little special though, as it was the first time I was using my Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD G2.

Then I like to finish my shoots carrying the camera in my hand, set it for low depth of field and capture interesting details present in the store.

As you can see for yourself, this shoot was really interesting and the store was so well designed and beautifully done.

Thanks for viewing!
