Following my assignment involving the photography of The Source artwork,  the Dendrites artwork by Michel De Broin is the second project I photographed on the newly built Project Bonaventure for the Public Art Department of the city of Montreal.

As usual for this type of project, I started with day photos, making sure that the sun shines on both the artwork and the facades of the high rise buildings in the vicinity. All the photos below were taken with my Nikon D800 equipped with a 24mm Tilt Shift / 24-70mm standard zoom.

What’s really interesting about this particular project is that each dendrite allows the visitors to get a high vantage point towards Project Bonaventure and downtown (as shown in the image below).

It comes to no surprise that the structure looks even more impressive at dusk. The lighting really highlights the design of the artwork and makes it stand out in the urban landscape.

Thanks for viewing!
