Just Off The Press: Montreal – Toronto Road Trip cover story for Lufthansa Magazin – April 2014
I love travelling and I love road trips. So when Lufthansa Magazin contacted me last year to shoot a cover story for them featuring a road trip from Montreal to Toronto, I was very enthusiastic. Shooting travel stories is always fun and exciting. What I love about these assignments is that it allows me to shoot different types of photography, ranging from cityscapes, editorial portrait, architecture, nature, road scenes and various details. It also allows me to discover or re-discover places with a different perspective.
And even though writers don’t necessarily accompany photographers on assignments, it was the case for this one. The experience was enriching as the writer was able to give me direct feedback on the angle he wanted to give for this 5 days road trip.
Here is the breakdown of the trip:
Day 1: Montreal – focus on music.
Day 2: Droulers & Ottawa – focus on First Nations
Day 3: Ottawa – Focus on Parliament Hill
Day 4: Algonquin Park – Focus on Nature
Day 5: Toronto – focus on architecture
The tearsheets of the article are visible below. The pdf of the magazine is also available here. All the pictures were taken with a Nikon D800 and Nikkor 24-70mm F/2.8, Nikkor 70-200mm F/2.8 VRII and Nikkor 16-35mm F/4 VR.
Thanks for viewing!
