On Assignment: Toronto Royal Ontario Museum for Moment Factory

This past year has been crazy and I haven’t had the time to update this blog as much as I wanted. So let’s catch up with some great pictures of an amazing project.

For this assignment, I had the pleasure to work with the world renown firm of Moment Factory, a Montreal-based new media and entertainment studio that specializes in creating multimedia environments that combine video, lighting design, architecture, animation, sound and special effects.

For its centenial ball, the ROM commissioned the studio to create an immersive, one-night only experience that transformed the museum’s facade and interiors into a kaleidoscopic wonderland. Highlights included a generative art piece, and audio-reactive visuals generated live by performing musicians.

My lenses of choice for that night to go with my Nikon D800 were my Samyang 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC Tilt-Shift Lens and my Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED.
