On Assignment: Commercial Interior & Food Photography for ARK Vegas Restaurants at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino

It seems that Las Vegas  is slowly becoming my second home with two assignments there during this year. Having worked with ARK Vegas in the past, it was a pleasure to oblige when they asked me to shoot their newly redecorated restaurant, the Yolos Mexican grill.

This time was a bit different from last time as we started with some food photography before moving onto more classic commercial interiors photography.

Just like last time, the assignment was exciting and challenging, however the client’s help and feedback was invaluable.

  • Cocktail Photography

Most of the cocktails and food pictures  were shot with a Nikon D800 + Nikkor 24-70mm at 70mm using a single SB900 equipped with a small softbox as a backlight. A silver reflector was used in front to the right to fill some of the shadows.

As usual, all the interior photos were taken using a Nikon D800 + 24mm Tilt Shift lens. Third shot below is a panorama from 3 pictures taken using the shift function of the lens.
