On Assignment: Toronto Architecture Photography – Jane Street Condos for TACT Architecture & Design

The more I do it, the more I enjoy every opportunity I get to photograph exteriors. This why I was excited to make the trip to Baby Point district of Toronto to photograph Tact Design & Architecture latest condo building.

In order to be able to capture the facade lit by the sun, I decided to arrive at 4:30pm for a few day shots. At first, I focused on getting a few details shots and the building itself.

Then, I focused on showing the building in relationship to its environment. For these shots, I like to include moving cars in the pictures to make them more dynamic.

The biggest challenge on this specific shoot was removing the wires in front of the building during editing (This retouching alone usually multiply the time needed to retouch the pictures by 2 or 3 as it requires a lot of attention to details). Even though it was tedious, it was worth the time invested in the task.

Then as usual, I waited for dusk (9:30pm in June) to get a few more shots with a different light (and some cool car trails).

Thanks for viewing!
