This summer has been pretty busy and I had not time to share with you the latest cover of Montreal Home Magazine, featuring the living room of a beautifully renovated renovated 1920's apartment I shot in one of the historical buildings of the Golden Square Mile in Montreal.

Some projects are more special than others and this one makes no exception. Located inside an industrial building, the design of this office space is eclectic and spectacular.
Originally composed of small partitioned offices and covered with false ceiling tiles, the assembly was removed and opened to create an open space with windows overlooking the warehouses and on the outside.

It's always exciting to be working with architects on interesting projects such as the Solano F2B. For this project, I had the chance to be able to shoot from the overpass overlooking this building.
This extension to the complex was added by Groupe Marchand Architects and completed in 2013 and features 17 floors.

There is nothing like escaping the cold weather in Montreal in Winter and head off to the south. When I received the invitation to join a press trip in Martinique, it was the perfect opportunity to discover one of the two french islands of the Caribbean sea. Last year, I had the pleasure to be the first photographer to access the brand new Montreal planetarium Rio Tinto Alcan. The building, designed by architects Cardin Ramirez Julien and Ædifica was inaugurated in April 2013. What I really like about the building is the mixed use of Wood and aluminum which makes for striking contrasts and a nice balance.

When I was contacted by Rinox Concrete Products manufacturer at the beginning of last summer, The first shoot was all about landscaping.
Arriving early, my first task was to find two suitable angles for the front and back cover. Then, once the angles were found, the next issue was to find the right light to bring out the texture and the quality of the stone. For both of the shots below, we used construction lights present on-site to help create the perfect lighting conditions.
